Jamil McGhee grew up in Philadelphia, PA where he first visited the zoo as a child and went on to become a graduate of Drexel University. He now resides in the Columbus, OH area where he has served as a lay minster for more than twenty years.

Thomos McAteer is a graduate of West Chester University and studied multimedia designe at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He is the illustrator behind numerous picture books. He currently lives with his family in Philadephia, PA.
